Honda Pioneer 700 / Pioneer 1000 / Talon 1000 accessory heater overheat fire hazard (CPSC April 3, 2025)

## Affected machines This bulletin covers **accessory heaters** compatible with three Honda ROV families. The accessory heaters are sold separately from the vehicles - the recall covers the heater, not the vehicles themselves. ### Compatible vehicles affected - MY **2023-2025** Honda **Pioneer 700** (SXS700) - MY **2022-2024** Honda **Pioneer 1000** (SXS1000) - MY **2022-2024** Honda **Talon 1000** (SXS1000S) Affected vehicles have been fitted with the Honda accessory heater system, which has a mounted control panel on the vehicle's dash with controls for air speed, air flow direction, and temperature. About **2,340** accessory heaters affected. ## Issue The recalled accessory heater can **overheat and catch fire**, posing fire and burn hazards to consumers. ## What to do 1. Identify whether your Pioneer 700, Pioneer 1000, or Talon 1000 has been fitted with a Honda accessory heater. 2. **Stop using the heater immediately.** (You can continue to use the vehicle if the heater is disconnected or removed - consult your dealer.) 3. Contact an authorized Honda Powersports dealer to schedule the published remedy. 4.
