The CPSC notice published the full table of affected engine model and serial-number ranges; consumers should match by engine SN against Kawasaki's published list, not by mower model alone — only mowers built with an in-scope engine SN are affected. ## Issue The **fuel tube** may have been damaged due to improper workmanship while the engine was being repaired at the factory before installation in the mower. Damage to the fuel tube can cause a fuel leak, posing fire and burn hazards. This is distinct from the earlier CPSC 24-256 voltage-regulator recall on Kawasaki engines (June 2024) and from the CPSC 13-040 fuel-filter recall (November 2012) — different defect, different production window. Owners of Gravely ZT HD or ZT HD Stealth from MY2023 should also check whether their unit is in scope for CPSC 24-256 (covered by sibling bulletins for related brands; Gravely is not currently listed in CPSC 24-256 but should be confirmed with the dealer).
