## Issue
The ROPS (Rollover Protective Structure) retention bolts may be loose. If the bolts loosen further or fail entirely during a rollover event, the ROPS could shift or detach, leaving the operator without protection.
Reported field incidents at time of recall: none. The recall was preventive based on engineering review of bolt-torque records.
## What to do
1. Check your mower's model and serial number against the tables above.
2. If your mower is in scope, **stop using it immediately**.
3. Contact Kubota Tractor Corporation at (888) 458-2682 (888-4KUBOTA) Monday-Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. CT to schedule a free inspection and free repair.
4. Until the dealer inspection is complete, ensure the seat belt is worn and the ROPS is in the upright/locked position whenever the mower is operated — these are baseline rollover-protection measures regardless of the bolt issue.
## Hazard
Severity is rated **critical** because a compromised ROPS is potentially fatal in a rollover.

## Library notes
The three Z400 Series rows (Z411KW-48, Z421KW-54, Z421KWT-60) are existing library entries. The six Z700 Series commercial variants (Z723KH-2-48, Z724XKW-2-48, Z724KH-2-54, Z724XKW-2-54, Z725KH-2-60, Z726XKW-2-60) are added in this migration. The existing Z724KW-48 row is the consumer KW variant (year_start 2018) and is distinct from these recall rows — the Z724XKW-2-48 row added here has the X (with-ROPS) and -2 (second generation) suffixes that distinguish the commercial line.
